TOUR STOP: KLAMATH FALLS, OREGON...

Here we are last night in Klamath Falls, Oregon.. The poor lady that I decided to just plop down on her lap for the picture was a great sport. Her daughter (My Hippie Friend) is poking her head out under my lef arm. Check out that headband!! Back in the day! I am not going to talk about all the things we covered this time. If you follow my blog you already know the goals that all these women are going to accomplish. I want to say that just as these women's lives are about to change, mine too has changed becuase of them.... I am so fortunate to travel throughout this country in over 1,000 cities to date and meet with these women. They inspire me, they humble me and they totally impress me. It is becasue of them that I feel so good every day..... I may be 65 years old (soon) but I just can't stop......! I feel my best, I am at my best when I stand before these crowds of women. I enjoy every minute. It is an honor to work with them.... So to the 1,000's of wonderful women over the years I THANK 'YOU'... You keep me young and feeling good.... I just can't stop now... I'm gonna keep going until I cover every city, town & village in this country. I'm on a mission........... Ain;t nothin' gonna stop me now.....! Lookin' forward to helping YOU too...

"Danny, Can't You Just Chill?!"


Call me crazy. Call me stubborn. But don’t tell me to chill or sit still. I’m not built for it. People come to me all the time and ask, “Traveling the country, doing these seminars year after year after year must be a tough gig for a 65 year old guy. Why don’t you chillax; slip into an easy chair and throw back a cold one.”


Um...no. That’s NOT how I roll. First of all, my family needs a break from me every once in a while. I’m a high energy guy and my wife and daughter get tired of peeling me off the ceiling after I’ve been sitting around the house for too long. Secondly, there’s 30,000 cities in America; so far my ThinSpiration Tour has “only” made Fitstops in 1,000 of them. How could I possibly hit the brakes now?! My aim is to reach every hamlet, jurisdiction, parish and township in this country before the pre-Danny Russo Fat Loss Seminar Lady sings.


But right now, I’m the one singing. That’s right; every morning I wake up whistling my favorite song, “Everyday is a Holiday”. Why? Because you ladies give me a purpose, a mission. And that makes me very, very happy. Helping you women overcome fitness obstacles men never have to deal with - menopause, water retention, pregnancy, hormonal imbalance - this is the great challenge of my life. And I learned early on that you ladies are tougher and more determined than us guys. It is truly an honor and a pleasure to continue working with you. And I’ll tell you a secret, as much as I help you improve your life, you ladies make every day feel like a holiday for me!


And then there are the pretenders. All those hucksters selling you this and that weight loss or fitness gadget, gizmo or thingamagig. It makes me crazy and reminds me why I still have so much more to do; so many more women to help and teach. Many of you get burned by unproven, one-size fits all diet and fitness plans that are all sizzle and no steak. Women at my seminars are sick of diets and have come to me for the “cure”. I’m not going to start denying them now!


Over the thirty years I’ve been teaching thousands of you to become leaner and stronger, here’s what you ladies have helped ME discover: no two women are exactly alike. That’s right. Every woman is unique. Genetics, body type - even ph levels - are unique to each specific woman. So you deserve a plan tailored to your individual needs. And it’s not just my pleasure to help you shape a plan that is exactly right for you - it is my mission in life! No, really.

TOUR STOP: GOLDENDALE, WASHINGTON...

Going back to the School House!!! Look at these wome sitting in the bleachers... They didn't come to see a "GAME" or see some "MAGIC"..They came to SEE and HEAR the TRUTH!!! They all wanted to get in better shape.. They wanted to find out what works for JUST THEM. I keep sayin' it: "All women are Unique". Some of them will spend the next 90 days with me and my wife while we find out how to make each of them Thinner, Firmer,Leaner, Stronger, Healthier and most important FEELING GOOOOD!! At the same time as we figure what foods belong IN thier body we will teach them only four unique exercises that they can do at home or in the gym... THE GOAL: Flatten those abs, lean down those legs, and firm that butt!! This was a small town with woman with big goals. MY JOB: To make sure they get there.... TOUR STOP: COEUR-D'ALENE, IDAHO....!



Another beautiful day here in Idaho... All these ladies stared my FEW program... The rest of the day will be a happy one for them. They know that they started a program with ME!! I'm gonna hang with them every minute to make adjustments for each... It's about time someone realizes that not everybody is the same. Four of these women are on blood pressure meds, three are on thyroid meds, all but four of them have hormonal issues... All that will be considered as we design for each of them what there foods to put IN thier body to be healthier, feel better and lose fat.... The only gamble on this day is the one I am going to make as I go to the local casino and play poker.... Wish me luck because these women won't need it........... That got me!!!! You want to join us... Come on, I'm a waitin'

TOUR STOP: LEWISTON, IDAHO...!



It was a beautiful day in Idaho. The rest of the country was just trying to keep cool and in this small, beautiful town it was a cool summer day with a nice breeze... The sky was clear, my rental car windows were down and there was no reason for anyone to be inside....! Well, not "Everyone". Look at all these women who showed up for my seminar! Do they look happy to you? We had a great time as the seminar content tought these women to rid thier bodies of WATER RETENION in just the first 30 days, PLUS, correct sodium and potassium levels while taking only two vitamins and one mineral and staying away from only THREE FOODS...... Danny Russo's Cure for Water Retention? Get WaterLogged.


Remember all the tongue wagging over water a few years ago? So-called “medical experts” insisted we were supposed to ingest a belly-popping amount of water everyday to maintain optimal health: one eight ounce glass of H20 eight times a day, every single day. Like many health recommendations, this fluid overflow defied common sense. How can anyone who has a day job -or a life for that matter- possibly count their water intake at that level every single day? And who gulps that amount of water without their stomach aching as if they’d just swallowed half Lake Michigan? Let’s not even talk about where all that water is eventually going to end up. Without getting too TMI, let’s just say, chugging that amount of liquid ensures you’ll be wearing a path in your hardwood floors running to the bathroom.


But people followed these ridiculous recommendations because well, experts “know”, right? Yeah, right! These same “experts” did a turnabout in what seemed like 5 minutes later, claiming, “8 for 8” was actually NOT good for you. And this time, they were right. When your cells fill up with too much water (a condition known as water intoxication) the surrounding cells start shedding sodium to reestablish the proper internal balance. The result is Hyponatremia, a state in which your sodium levels drop dangerously low.


Women, especially women of un certain age, already struggle with their bodies’ unfortunate instinct toward water retention. The last thing they want to do is compound the problem with water intoxication. Talk about robbing from Peter to pay Paul! Fitness Evangelista Danny Russo has long preached the importance of hydration as a pillar of his female-focused fitness and fat loss programs. After all, his program is known as FEW: Food Exercise and...wait for it...Water. But unlike other fitness program posturers, Danny is not one to go with the flow - especially with water. His take on the tap is simple: get WaterLogged.


Now, that doesn’t mean chug more water; we’ve already seen how that can turn out. No, the key is to establish routine and schedule for healthy hydration. -Pick three times a day where you will drink 20 ounces of water.

-Drink water at the same times every day.

-Drink room temperature water, as it is easier to drink fast than cold water.

-If you need more water during the day, sip, don’t gulp it.

-If you’re working out, drink water before you start sweating, not after.

-After your workout, drink chocolate milk instead of water. Yes, ladies, you read that right!


Once you establish your personal “water log”, your body will adjust by retaining less fluid. Russo has tested this method for over thirty years and has seen it scientifically proven though Electrical Impedance Tests on thousands of women.

It just reminded me how healthy this country is and unique each state is... What a perfect match with exactly why I am here. WHY? I am here to help women become stronger, healthier realizing how unique each women is... Just like the states I travel in. All unique with same goals of strength and beauty. 1 - BOTTLE LOW SODIUM V-8 JUICE

2 CUPS CHOPPED CELERY

2 CUPS CHOPPED TOMATO OR 1 LARGE CAN OF DICED TOMATOES

1 CUP ONION

1 CUP CARROTS

1-2 CUPS CUT GREEN BEANS

4 CUPS SHREDDED CABBAGE

2 TBS. - CHOPPED GARLIC OR USE GARLIC POWDER TO TASTE

DASH OF CAYENNE PEPPER - optional

BAY LEAF

CRACKED PEPPER


PUT EVERYTHING IN A LARGE POT AND BRING TO BOIL. REDUCE HEAT AND SIMMER UNTIL READY TO EAT...ABOUT 1/2 AN HOUR.


TIPS: YOU CAN USE A BAG OF ANY FROZEN VEGEATBLES THAT YOU WANT.

OKRA, CORN, CALIFLOWER, PEAS, PEPPERS, ETC.

SOME LIKE TO ADD A 1/2 SUP OF MILD, MEDIUM OR HOT SALSA TO THE SOUP FOR ADDED FLAVOR AND THIS WILLNOT ADD MUCH MORE SODIUM.

Danny Russo: Seeking a FEW Good Women


For many men, a new path in life opens up when they’re confronted with the woman of their dreams. For fitness and nutrition expert Danny Russo, life changed when he met up with the women of his nightmares. Thirty years ago, on a cold, January night in the parking lot outside Colby’s Gym in Atlanta, Russo found himself surrounded by the entire U.S. Women’s Powerlifting team. And they were not happy.


Russo had just led the men’s powerlifting team through a grinding workout in the gleaming new facility. During the session, Russo happened to notice the women’s team languishing in the older section of the gym. There were no amenities there. No heaters; no water fountains. Foam padding bulged from cracks in the aging bench press the women were using. And unlike the men, the women didn’t have a dedicated coach.


Later in the parking lot, the women’s team captain confronted Russo. At 6’2”, 194 lbs of pure, lean muscle, she towered over the 5’ 8” Russo. She demanded to know why he never considered coaching the women’s team? Russo didn’t have an answer; he’d just always done it that way. He’d trained NFL football players, fighters, bodybuilders – all men. And honestly, he had no desire to work with women. But he wasn’t about to tell that to this group of extremely fit, angry young women. Too scared to say no, Russo eventually said, “yes”.


Danny Russo, now a remarkably spry sixty-three year old “fitness evangelist”, is still surrounded by women. Not powerlifters at a gym, but “regular” women attending a seminar - one of Russo’s “For Women Only” health and fitness programs. After years of building his career on the pecs and abs of elite male athletes, Russo now works exclusively with women.


“Launching the New You”, Russo’s fat loss (not weight loss) is a program (not diet) specifically designed to negotiate the challenges everyday women face in staying fit. Russo’s mantra is, “Women are unique”. Unlike men, women have to cope with the negative physical effects of babies, birth control, cycles, water retention and menopause. Fitness evangelist Danny Russo is willing to put his honey where his mouth is. How many men would encourage their wives to just “let themselves go”?
